Learning targets
This teaching programme is about the Aedes Aegypti mosquito and how it spreads the viral diseases Chikungunya, Dengue and Zika. It teaches children how and why the mosquito bites you and what can give you ast.
This teaching programme focuses on awareness and prevention. It pays close attention to how to detect and remove mosquito breeding sites and how to prevent mosquito bites with the help of various mosquito repellents.
Teaching materials
The teaching material that accompanies this programme has been prepared in two languages (Dutch and Papiamentu) and contains the following components:
